The Jesus Papyrus

At first sight the Jesus papyrus - a few verses in Greek from St Matthew's Gospel - seems little more than three tiny pieces of old paper. Yet it is one of the most important documents in the world. Thiede and d'Ancona argue that this is the oldest known fragment of the New Testament in book form. Not since the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947 has there been such an important controversial - breakthrough in our understanding of Christ's time on earth.
