Father Melancholy's Daughter

Gail Godwin was born in Alabama, grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, and now lives in Wood- stock, New York. She is the author of two volumes of short stories and seven previous novels, including A Mother and Two Daughters and A Southern Family.
