The God Chasers invited us to the passionate pursuit of His presence. It showed us the path and pointed us toward the prize. The God Catchers takes us one step further: from the pursuit to the encounter the "face" place-where divine destiny meets human desperation!
Flesh cannot physically catch God-but when the hungry heart of a God chaser cries out for Him alone, those desperate cries capture His heart. At that moment, the Pursued becomes the Pursuer and the God chaser becomes a God catcher. When worship arrests His attention, He changes our future. Humanity has encountered divinity.
As a father, I am persistently plotting how to squeeze just one more hug or kiss from my daughters. I suspect our heavenly Father does the same. He has "torn down middle walls" and ripped veils to construct open doors of access. He wants our presence as much as we want His presence. Don't let the arrogance of spiritual adolescence rob you of your childlike passion for His presence. God does not hide so that He cannot be found-He is very careful to hide so that He can be found (page 11). Remember, we are promised in Scripture that when we seek Him, we will find Him. You can be
a God catcher!
