Around the world, that is. But now eternal traveller Emily Tomlin (aka Andes Lane) is ready to settle down. Her tranquil houseboat on Seattle Lake seems like the perfect home. But the peace is quickly shattered by her landlord, Jay, and his extraordinarily gifted but equally infuriating ten-year-old son, Chase.
When Jay gets jailed, Andes reluctantly accompanies Chase to Sunnyside, Queens, to find the man he believes is his real father, fireman Dave Jensen. But as Dave puts fires out, somebody else seems intent on starting them. Soon everything's getting a bit too hot to handle...
