Selected Stories By W.W. Jacobs

William Wymark Jacobs (8 September 1863-1 September 1943), better known as W.W. Jacobs, was an English writer of short stories and novels. Although Jacobs is best remembered for his horror tale 'The Monkey's Paw', most of his stories are humorous in tone and are frequently about life at sea. Equally a master of the macabre and the witty, Jacobs often brilliantly employed the vernacular of the East End of London in his writing. This collection includes some of his most enduring stories including 'The Monkey's Paw', 'The Lady of the Barge' and 'Bill's Paper Chase'.
